To qualify for the competition, the fiction, documentary, animation, experimental films should be no longer than 35 minutes and be produced in 2018 or 2019. Older films may be allowed to the competition provided that the screening at the Festival will be their first presentation in Poland. The detail of the submissions criteria can be found in the REGULATIONS OF SUBMITTING FILMS.

The 13th Film and Art Festival Two Riversides will take place July 27th – August 4th in Kazimierz Dolny i Janowiec nad Wisłą.

Festival Two Riversides is an international cultural event, which connects in its program all fields from which motion picture draws inspiration. Our Program Department lead by Grażyna Torbicka is in the process of working on this year’s program and events.

During the festival we will show you productions from Poland and abroad, premieres and the most important films of the year, as well as interesting spectacles, exhibitions and concerts. The previous editions were largely popular: each year, the number of attendees grows. We hope that this year Two Riversides lovers will join us as well!

The slogan of the 12th edition was “Cinema that connects.” Two Riversides once again connected not only two towns, Kazimierz and Janowiec nad Wisłą, it also proved that cinema can truly form an alliance with art. The turnout had shown us that the audiences really enjoyed such a festival: we managed to break last year’s turnout record.

“We do this festival mainly for the viewers” the Artistic Director Grażyna Torbicka underlines. “The audience really gets the chance to see good film, listen to artistic music, come across interesting paintings, good photographs. It all builds energy with which our visitors return to us in the following year.”

During the closing gala the guests heard the results of THE INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILMS COMPETITION. The Jury chose the best film: “LOVER HEAVEN” by Emad Aleebrahim-Dehkordi. We also already know the results of THE AUDIENE POLL. The film with the largest number of votes was “LOVING VINCENT”.

The jury: Gabriela Muskała, Urszula Antoniak and Piotr Domalewski decided to give the following awards:
1st award in the amount of 5000 PLN: “LOWER HEAVEN” (dir. Emad Aleebrahim Dehkordi);
2nd award in the amount of 3000 PLN: “SIOSTRY” (dir. Michał Hytroś);
3rd award in the amount of 2000 PLN: “NA ZDROWIE!” (dir. Paulina Ziółkowska).

In addition, the jury decided to give honourable mention to:
ALEKSANDRA RODZIK for her role in the film “Tsantsa”;
the film “CÓRKA” (dir. Mara Tamkovich);
ERI MIZUTANI for the directing of the film “Proszę o ciszę”.

The “She’s Mercedes” statuette was given to MARA TAMKOVICH.
